Web App Builder Developer Edition: Customizing and Adding Functionality

Ian Peebles, GISP - City of Edmond - Information Technology

The Web App Builder (WAB) Developer’s Edition from ESRI is a powerful web application builder that can be downloaded and installed in your work environment to create web applications. This presentation focuses on how you can extend your Web App Builder by adding enhancements such as improving popups, the splash screen, and adding in a customized widget to add extra functionality to the application. By making some simple changes throughout the structure of the WAB, you can extend your application and enhance the presentation and functionality. This presentation is for any GIS professional interested in making improvements to mapping applications using the Web App Builder Developer’s Edition.

Putting Python into Practice, 2019 Revisit

Joel Foster, Canadian County Assessor Office

Python has been integrated with ArcGIS software since the 9.0 days and that continues today with ArcGIS Pro. There are many classes available from a variety of sources that teach Python but I’ve found it to be difficult to take the non-specific things you learn in those classes and use them when you’re back in your office with your data and your computer, particularly if you learned only the basics. How do you take those ifs, elses, fors, and whiles and use it to change the way you do your work? This presentation is designed to give you a few ideas that can achieve some return on your investment in learning Python by showing examples specific to the ArcGIS Desktop software suite.

Welcome to Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS

Brad Owens, Esri

Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS is an intuitive what-you-see-is-what-you-get application that allows you to build 2D and 3D web apps without writing a single line of code. It includes powerful tools to configure fully featured HTML apps. As you add your map and tools, you can see them in the app, and use them right away. In this presentation, I will show you how to build powerful GIS apps that run on any device with no coding required.
