  • COVID-19

  • SCAUG holds the safety and welfare of our GIS community in the highest regard. To ensure that our attendees are safe we are continually monitoring the recent COVID-19 situation from authoritative sources at all levels. Being proactively in constant communication with the hotel property on this matter ensures your stay with us during the conference week will be as safe and pleasant as possible. The hotel is taking extra precautions to continually sanitize the entire hotel as well as setting up hand sanitizing stations for attendees throughout the entire property. We are also actively monitoring and following the recommendations of the local jurisdictions regarding this issue. Being GIS professionals, we all work on a daily basis to dispel rumors by using sound data that is set before us. If we see any actions or recommendations that impact our attendees welfare we will take appropriate measures as necessary.  At this time there have been no recommendations beyond normal cold and flu season precautions regarding COVID-19. We do encourage ALL of our attendees to be proactive and educated not only at our conference but in their daily lives. These basic preventative measures will keep us all healthier during this time of year.  SCAUG thanks you for your concern and contentiousness for all our attendee’s safety and welfare. We are looking forward to a wonderful conference with your presence. If you have any particular concerns feel free to let us know.

    Sincerely,

    2020 Regional SCAUG Board
