This year, we're shaking things up! Not only are we maximizing our time in Metro Tech's beautiful large meeting rooms (the Main Hall and the Auditorium), we have also reimagined last year's presentation rooms. This year, we are proud to debut a brand-new way to learn: the Subject Matter Learning Labs (SMaLLs)!
The Subject Matter Learning Labs will be collaborative come-and-go spaces in which Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) make themselves available for questions about their favorite GIS topics. These are NOT presentations. These are #ama #irl (Ask Me Anything, In Real Life!) ephemeral help desks, filled with birds-of-a-feather eager to get deep in the weeds of their favorite GIS subjects.
Room A Scott F Highby, Senior Geotech Continental Resources, Inc. Subjects:
Experience: I can be the subject matter expert for the oil and gas industry at the conference. I believe that I am the only oil and gas employee that consistently attends all the local SCAUG meetings so I can consider myself an expert on this subject at the conference. I can answer any questions about the industry and limited non confidential questions about my company. I have been in the industry almost 20 years. I was the first real "GIS person" at my company 20 years ago and introduced ESRI software to the company. I can answer questions about what GIS software we use addition to ESRI at my company. I am also an expert on what is behind the price of oil at any given time, including geopolitical and economic variables. I have gone through the Ambassador training for the industry given by my company and OERB, so I am prepared to talk about the industry to anyone outside the industry. | Room B Joel Foster, GIS Coordinator Canadian County Assessor's Office Subjects:
Experience: Joel has worked for the Canadian County Assessor's Office for close to 11 years. He completed the county parcel GIS dataset and introduced office-wide mapping to the Assessor's Office. Joel holds a Cadastral Mapping Specialist (CMS) designation from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and a GISP | Room C Daniela Spade, GIS Application and Outreach Coordinator Center for Spatial Analysis Subject:

Once thing I know is Asset and Maintenance Management with Cityworks. | Room C Colin Brooks, GIS Manager Oklahoma Corporation Commission Subjects:

He currently works as both a Geologist and GIS Manager for the Oil and Gas Conservation Division at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC). Colin has spent seven years as a regulator in the Induced Seismicity Department mitigating seismic hazards across Oklahoma. In 2024, he added GIS Manager for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to his responsibilities. He maintains the OCC's ArcGIS Enterprise platform and GIS applications. |
Room A Charles Brady III, GIS Coordinator / Address Manager City of Ardmore Subjects:
Experience: Continually maintaining local GIS data utilized by 911, E911, & now NG911 applications over the past 20+ years has given me a lot of hands-on experience. Working directly with the State of Oklahoma's GIS & 911 communities during this time has also allowed me to see both unique profession's perspectives and challenges regarding GIS data within an active 911 center. My daily workload within the City of Ardmore still includes every aspect of municipal mapping along with continual address management and NG911 tech support by necessity. As frustrating as it can be for me as well, I daily have to abide by the constraints set forth by Oklahoma's GIS / NG911 Address Standard, Toolkit, & State Repository. It is satisfying to see things changing for the better statewide that I could not do locally alone. I sincerely want you to bring your questions, data, & problems to this open discussion forum & we will all leave the session having accomplished something none of us could have alone. CEB III | Room B Annie Cahill, Public Safety Technical Consultant DATAMARK Subjects:

I lead DATAMARK's Technical Consulting team and provide guidance to clients seeking to improve workflows surrounding GIS data management, addressing, and public safety. I'm a GISP and I have a background teaching college level GIS. I also design workshops and training programs for clients seeking to improve their understanding of NG9-1-1 and GIS. | Room C Gwen Johnson, Mapping & Analytics Manager Oklahoma Transportation Cabinet Subjects:
Experience: I've been creating and maintaining ODOT's online presence for the last 4 years. I have created apps that are helping our decision makers see where our problem areas are and what we have fixed. I have worked closely with other SMEs in the agency to create easy to use and aesthetically pleasing dashboards for all levels of tech literacy. |
Room A April Chipman, GIS Coordinator Central Rural Electric Cooperative Subject:
Experience: I've been in GIS and used ESRI software for nearly 24 years and have worked at an electric utility for the past 9 years.
