GIS Technician:

The City of Sealy is seeking energetic and highly motivated applicants to join our team as a GIS Technician. This team member will create and maintain spatial features and databases for streets, land use, addresses and various other relevant data, develop and produce digital and paper maps, develop ancillary databases for linkage to spatial features, perform spatial analyses as directed, and coordinate and lead the development and maintenance of the City’s digital record drawings and databases for constriction plans, plats and site plans. This team member must be able to work individually or as part of a team, be willing to perform some field work, and have excellent communication skills.

Pay Range:  $19.00-$29.66 per hour

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Valid Class C Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.

Bachelor's degree in geography, earth sciences, computer science with emphasis on GIS, or geographic information system technology or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.

One (1) year general GIS work preferred.

Must pass drug test, physical examination and driver's license check
