SALARY: $23.19 Hourly   /   $1,854.85 Biweekly   /   $48,226.10 Annually

DESCRIPTION:
Interprets data, analyzes results, and uses statistical techniques to improve efficiency and
operations of current programs; turns data into information and ultimately business decisions
for the City of Longview; and performs other job related duties as assigned.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques, and provides ongoing reports.
Develops and implements data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that
optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Acquires data from primary and secondary data
sources. Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets. Filters and
corrects data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and update code
problems. Works with management to prioritize business and information needs. Locates and
defines new process improvement opportunities. Performs other related duties as assigned or
required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Statistics or related field, and two years
data analysis experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required
Licenses or Certifications: Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License. Criminal Justice
Information Services (CJIS) Certification is required within one month of employment. National
Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification is required within one year of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Subject to sitting, standing, walking,
bending, reaching, and lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
