Since 1990, the South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG) has provided resources and tools for Geographic Information Systems users and professionals in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi. If your organization is involved in GIS or is planning to implement GIS in the future you can benefit from becoming a member of SCAUG. Membership connects you to a community of knowledge in a growing industry. SCAUG has over 500 active GIS professionals and continues to grow.

Annual Regional Conference
The SCAUG Regional Conference is always a huge success. Each year, hundreds of members take full advantage of membership by attending the conference. User presentations, ESRI demonstrations, training, competitions, guest speakers, exhibits and fun social events make up the conference that can't be missed.

Training Opportunities
Membership gives you the opportunity to participate in new and popular training courses offered by ESRI and other agencies. Training classes are provided at a reduced rate at the regional conference and throughout the year.

Networking
Meeting other GIS users and getting to know people is what SCAUG is all about. Many
events throughout the year allow you to meet other members and discuss issues dealing with GIS. Many friendships have developed over the years among members.

Job Postings
Membership gives you access to post jobs for free on scaug.org, which is seen by all the SCAUG region.

GISP Points
As a member of SCAUG, you will earn points towards the GIS Certification Institute’s GIS professional (GISP) program.

Member Resource Guide (MRG)
Have you ever had that question that drives you up the wall, and you would like to speak to someone who uses the same software? The Member Resource Guide is just the resource you need to talk to other users. Access to this guide alone is worth membership fees!

Newsletter
Quarterly newsletters keep you posted of upcoming events, GIS related projects taking place in your region, and other SCAUG related news you will find interesting.

Salary Survey
Show me the money! This survey has helped many people get raises and/or market themselves for higher paying jobs in the region. Many employers use this survey to calculate pay scales for different GIS users. Being a member allows you to input your information into the survey and get the results.

Outreach
SCAUG is making a huge effort to perform outreach throughout the region. Look for examples throughout the year.
