Is your GIS user group an official sub-chapter of SCAUG?

It's free!! Have your GIS user group become an official sub-chapter and be recognized on our website. There is no cost, but each group must adhere to the following policy. If money is collected for any event sponsored by your user group you must require all attendees to become SCAUG members.

What are the benefits?

Regional Recognition - SCAUG has a reputation throughout the South Central United States.  With GIS user groups joining SCAUG as a sub-chapter it promotes their group while also promoting them as a group that is part of something larger than just their region.

SCAUG Partnerships - SCAUG has established many partnerships throughout its eighteen year existence. One example is the partnership with ESRI. Sub-chapters have potential to benefit from this partnership with things such as visits from ESRI specialists, giveaways and a custom logo designed by an ESRI graphic artist.

Infrastructure - SCAUG has the means to support sub-chapters during paid events with credit cards and bank transactions.

How does your organization become a sub-chapter?

Start by contacting the President at president@scaug.org. Soon after the SCAUG board will vote on your admittance as official sub-chapter!
