GIS Certification Institute
The purpose of the GIS Certification Institute is to provide GIS professionals with a formal process that will:
SCAUG is committed to providing its members with educational resources and opportunities for contribution to help its members achieve and retain their GIS Professional Certification.
Presenting papers at or attending SCAUG conferences; teaching or attending SCAUG workshops; volunteering on a SCAUG committee; and simply being a member of SCAUG earns education and contribution points towards GISCI Certification.
Publications distributed at SCAUG events (Conference Guides & Agendas) will have the corresponding GISCI points you can earn from the event as well as how they are to be listed. This is the only documentation that GISCI requires.
SCAUG does not readily provide letters of validation regarding attendance or participation for historical SCAUG events. Individual requests for such documentation will only be granted at the discretion of the Regional Executive Board.
